The “Sanction of Adult Sticks to Senior Citizens” scheme provides walking sticks to eligible senior citizens and persons with disabilities in Andhra Pradesh. The program is implemented by the AP Differently Abled & Senior Citizens Assistance Corporation (APDASCAC) under its Action Plan 2017-18. Distribution is handled by Assistant Directors of the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens, along with District Managers of APDASCAC.

BENEFITS

Eligible beneficiaries will receive a walking stick, and a DAISY Player is provided to assist with accessible learning and information access.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must have 40% or higher disability, as defined by the RPwD Act, 2016.
The benefit can be claimed only once every three years.
Annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000.
